If you've been injured in an accident and have a valid ACC claim number, you’re in luck! You can receive subsidised acupuncture treatments in New Zealand—provided your acupuncturist is an ACC-registered treatment provider.
Unlike osteopaths, physiotherapists, and chiropractors, acupuncturists have their own set of rules. You’re eligible for up to 12 subsidised sessions within a 12-week period starting from your first acupuncture visit. While we hope you won’t need all 12 treatments, it’s great to know this benefit is available.
